At first glance... Strong, charismatic, intimidating, fierce.. These were a few words to describe her best for those who don't know her and those who have seen her perform on stage or at a night club. Cheetah, the underground rapper. Cheetah, who always had such strong, fierce makeup on stage. Away from the night life and rapper life, she was also a student, but a student that seemed to only be on campus when she absolutely needed to be. If she didn't have to be on campus, she was gone, and she was usually that one quiet kid in class that either sat in the front and took notes quietly, or sat in the back corner quietly with her laptop. Who exactly was this girl with the short hair and fierce look ?

Getting to know her... Eunyoung may seem so fierce and intimidating at first, but actually, she's not really like that. As one gets to know her, slowly but surely, she opens up a little bit and will loosen up. She's an independent, strong woman, but also very chill and laid back. She'll start to talk more and play around more and not be so uptight around this new friend. She'll try to reach out, but don't count on that, for she often does not like to do so, depending on how well they click with her.

But actually... Once one crosses the line of this awkward stage of getting to know someone, she's not scary at all. She laughs and smiles a lot and has a lot of aegyo ( SURPRISE ). Somewhat of a raspy voice suddenly turns into a girly and baby voice when talking to her cats especially, but also randomly with those who are close to her. The closer someone is, the more she will tease, and the more she will contact that person. Eunyoung is a short girl... not too skinny, with some meat and muscle on her bones. Her hair is short, which is very convenient for her. Makeup varies from very strong and dark, to sweet and simple -- eyebrows and eyeliner always on point, though. Her style also varies from being very girly to being very boyish -- but really she wears whatever she wants, however way she feels for the day. She probably wouldn't be caught in pastel clothing, though. Also a sneakers and heels girl.

1990... May 25th in Busan, Eunyoung was born to a middle class family. Her family owned a small noodle restaurant in Busan that carried them well without much hardships. Eunyoung was a kid that had freedom, her parents allowed her to do what made her happy as long as she didn't get into any trouble. From such a young age, she seemed to enjoy attention from singing or dancing, being a part of the drama club and music club at school. As the years passed, she grew to realize what it was she wanted to do in life. Studying was not something she wanted to do any longer, instead, she wanted to stand on stage and become a singer.

2006... Eunyoung was 16, now, and for certain reasons she had transferred schools. Her parents tried to urge her into at least finishing high school to get her diploma, but after transferring, she ended up dropping out. Of course, her parents tried to talk her out of it, but they couldn't win over their only child. It was the beginning of 2006 when she dropped out of school and moved to Seoul by herself. The majority of the year, she found odd jobs to work part-time, both to take care of herself and to send what little money she got back to her parents in Busan. Whether they needed her help or not, she sent money, not wanting them to think she couldn't take care of herself. While working, she also started to audition at a few agencies, trying to make her dream come true until one day...

It was after Christmas, going into the New Year, when a huge accident happened.

One night Eunyoung was cutting it close to catching the last bus of the night. Her friend ran across the street when the light was flashing for no one to cross anymore. Although Eunyoung told her friend that she would cross at the next signal, she was afraid she'd end up missing the bus that she could already see coming from down the street. People said she had actually crossed the street, and by then, the bus hit her. Fortunately, Eunyoung was able to quickly be transported to a hospital because there was a fire station nearby. Contacting her parents was difficult, and the surgery she had to have couldn't be performed without their consent. Her parents were still in Busan, but finally, the doctors were able to reach her parents and they got their permission to perform the surgery.

From Busan, Eunyoung's parents arrived at the hospital, only to make another decision. The decision needed to be made was either to risk the possibility of a disability while removing the blood from her brain, or leave all of her organs, except her heart, in a brain-dead state. The artificial brain death surgery method had a higher possibility of her not waking up, but in return, would not have the risk of a disability. Eunyoung's parents knew that her only dream was to stand on stage and become a singer and knew that she'd hate to live if she was not able to do music again. so her father told her mom, 'Let's just do the artificial brain death surgery method for Eunyoung, and if something goes wrong, let's just die together.'

2007... Eunyoung was stuck in a coma for a little while, but stuck at the hospital for a little more than a year. She had a respirator in her throat, so her voice changed and was then damaged. No matter how much she screamed, her old voice would not come back. Yelling, crying.. every night, she would go to the roof of the hospital and sing until her voice would become hoarse. Rumors started to go around amongst other patients, saying that she had lost her mind after her surgery.

Amongst all this, though, she studied and prepared for her GED, and even took the exam at the hospital and passed.

2008-2009... Out of the hospital, her parents convinced her to move back to Busan, again. What was she going to do now ? Her voice changed, and she was so close to giving up on her dream. She couldn't sing anymore, her voice was not what it used to be... She could no longer reach the high notes she was able to, or even the mid-range notes that used to be so easy for her. But then one night at the karaoke bar with friends, she found a new talent. She could rap ! Eunyoung started to teach herself how to rap, and when she was good enough, she started to go out and perform on the streets with little things she wrote. That's it ! She found her passion once again and ended up moving back to Seoul.

2009... Eunyoung was 19 going on 20, and she got back on her grind. She went back to doing a number of part-time jobs during the day, then started to make herself known in the underground rap scene. With fierce makeup and strong lyrics, she couldn't be known as Kim Eunyoung in the scene, no, that's when Cheetah was born. The more she rapped, the better she got and the more offers and invitations she had to perform at different venues. Her appearance started to change from long hair to short her, to even shorter hair. Her fierce and charismatic persona of Cheetah started to take over, and makeup and nail art became much more of an interest. As a hobby, she painted her nails and did different designs, then also started to do people's makeup. Was this actually a hobby, or was this something she wanted to do the more she did it ? But what about rapping ?

In the end, with money she saved up from working, and with the money she started to earn from her shows, she enrolled into beauty school which she mastered every little thing she could for the next 3 1/2 years.

2013 - present... After 3 1/2 years of beauty school and continuing to rap, Eunyoung realized she loved both and wanted to do both. Music, she could continue to pursue without any degree, same with beauty, even if she got her license as a stylist and so on. Although she didn't like studying a few years back, she did want to go back to school if for at least one thing to help her in the future. She had so much fun with doing people's makeup, hair, and nails, why not try to open a beauty salon ? She knew basic business management from working at her family's restaurant, but she wanted to be more professional about it and wanted to understand more. Eunyoung applied to Yonsei for the fall semester of 2013 and got accepted. She studied, worked, and performed her ass off this entire time, and even decided to pledge to a sorority her freshman year. Kappa Delta was her choice after narrowing it down, and she loved this decision. Now, she finished the hardest year of academics as a junior and was going to start her senior year with a ton of silly electives since she finished all of her major courses.
